CONFIDENTIALITY:
Confidentiality applies to every service. It works the same as if
we met in my office. I don't share anything about you with anyone
without specific written permission. The only exceptions to confidentiality
are threats of future violence and admissions of child abuse.
CONSULTATION IS NOT THERAPY:
Consultation is more like a "healthy conversation." Since
I am educated as a therapist, I can talk with you in an emotionally
healthy manner - kind of like a conversation with a caring and competent
friend. But, of course, you can accomplish a lot more with a good
local therapist who is confident, competent, well-qualified, and feels
like a good match for you.
